Pastor Chris and Vickie Conrad have been married for 30 years and have two daughters; Heather 26 of Youngtown Arizona and Teresa 23, married to Brian Jansen, of Tucson Arizona. Both Pastor Chris and Vickie grew up in central Ohio where they met while attending Mt. Vernon Nazarene College. Pastor Chris served four years in the Air Force with tours in Japan, Viet Nam and Arizona. He was honorably discharged in 1974 and one year later began driving for United Parcel Service. In 1984 the Conrad’s began to sense God’s leading them into ministry so in 1985 they left Phoenix to attend Nazarene Bible College to prepare for ministry.

Pastor Chris has served the Church of the Nazarene in pastoral ministry for 15 years. He and Vickie began their ministry career as part of the first multiple staff church plant on the Oregon Pacific District. Pastor Chris served Tualatin Fellowship Church as their Youth and Christian Education Pastor for more than three years. In 1991, Pastor Chris and Vickie followed God’s leading to Ridgecrest Church of the Nazarene in Ridgecrest California. During his five years at Ridgecrest Pastor Chris served the church as a Singles Pastor, Christian Education Pastor and Associate Pastor. In 1996 the Conrad’s once again felt God’s leading to a new place of ministry at Glendale First Church of the Nazarene in Glendale Arizona. Pastor Chris served the Glendale congregation for more than six years is several capacities; Senior Adult Pastor, Christian Education Pastor, IT Administrator and primarily as Children’s Pastor. His current assignment as the Lead Pastor at the Redlands Nazarene Church is both challenging and fulfilling. Because ministry here in Redlands is so rewarding he is looking forward to many years as the Lead Pastor of this wonderful congregation.

Pastor Chris’ favorite pastimes are game bird hunting, backpacking, hiking and he loves to do a little fly fishing when he can. Vickie loves scrap booking and when she has time, baking.
